From the inspection report: "Observations:
concern due to the vent valve in the tank not shutting the fuel filler off in time causing the charcoal canister to fill with raw fuel. when that happens the purge solenoid purges raw fuel into the intake causing the vehicle to die"

Remedy from the dealer: " replace fuel tank, charcoal canister, purge solenoid and ESIM" $1,826.55

My question is why do they have to replace the fuel tank? Isn't there another/cheaper way to fix this problem? Any thoughts or help would be appreciated.

Thanks Pat
