2007 jeep grand cherokee... young love & car trouble
Hey all, I'm new, and looking for help.
I am engaged to this awesome girl, who is great at everything except vehicle maintenance. We live an hour from work so we have long (albeit highway) commutes which equates to high mileage.
Her 07 grand cherokee has. 102500 or so miles on it. I asked her last week when the last time she had her oil changed and her look led me to suspect it was prior to Obama taking the Presidency! In fact it had been "about" 15,000 miles. Which makes me suspect it may have been more! (Dear God, I know!).
Oil was immediately changed, but now, after driving my 2011 honda accord, she thinks its sluggish (ya think!). I have already planned another oil change after 1,000 miles, hoping to clean out the sludge, but I'm wondering what else its time to address.
So, assuming that very little PM has been done, what needs doing? Will anything help the sluggishness? I don't want to go to a shop and get screwed, so whatever advice you can lend is greatly appreciated!!!
Thanks,
Lumpy

As stated earlier do a complete tune-up, change all the fluids and filters, do a thorough grease job, replace the serpentine belt and check the condition of the hoses, check the condition of the brakes, check the condition and wear of the tires and rotate/replace if needed. I'd have the battery checked as it's probably the original one and is getting old. I believe that model has a cabin air filter in the cowl area that needs to be changed also, check and see.
Good luck and have fun.
