Hello I am new to this forum but I have a question concerning my step-daughters 2007 Cherokee. It came with a remote starter and I don't know if it was factory installed, dealer, or owner. but the other day it wouldn't start with the remote but then it started with the key. Now it won't start with either one and the battery has plenty of juice. Where do I start looking for this problem or can I unhook something to make it start with the key? Has anybody else had this problem? Well thanks for listening. Gary

Neutral Safety Switch, shift your jeep into neutral and while in neutral try turning on the jeep

 

Well did that and it still would not turn the engine over or start.

just how much help did you think you were going to get so quickly?
You need to have someone plug in a scanner and check the body module for stored codes, I think you will find your answer with the results

 

Well this is the kind of help I need but nobody would say anything I guess I will have to buy a scanner. I have gone thru previous threads concerning there problems like this but so far no luck. I thank you for some info now we will see if that will tell me the problem. Thank You so much.

 

Hello, I am new here and I also have a question about some starting issues. I have a 1997 Jeep Grand Cherokee Limited and for the past several months I have had issues starting. Some times on the first try, it st arts up. But most of the time I have to try a second time and then it decides to start. Any ideas on what I should be looking at to replace?

You dont need to buy a scanner. Auto zone will read your codes for free
