Hi all,
I have a 06 Grand Cherokee (Limited, Hemi) with navigation. Over the last few months, the screen on the radio/navigation will go out and stay out for days at times. Every now and then the screen will come back on only to go back out. The radio still works, but nothing can be seen. I have started simple with checking the fuses, the connections and such, but the problem seems to be a bit more than a simple fix. I have took it to Jeep and they are telling me it is a $2,800-3,2oo dollar fix for a new radio!! Is this an ongoing problem with these units?

This is a great site BTW. I live in North GA and go wheelin quit a bit with a small group of Wranglers, K5 blazers and rock buggies, one of the guys I met last week turned me onto this site.

I would just replace it with an aftermarket DVD/Nav unit such as a Pioneer D3. Much, much, much cheaper and better functions.
