i have a 2004 cherokee wj.127.000 miles on it.radiator tank cracked.put in a new 2-core alluminum radiater-water pump-thermostat-coolant sensor-upper and loer hoses and a new fan.and a new radiator cap.after you drive it and turn it off some coolant comes out of the radiator cap.going through about the coolant in the resivor tank evry couple months.this is my second 18 lb. new radiator cap i have tried.still doing it.absolutely no leeking from any where but the cap area.what the heck can be happening?car never overheated.put all this neww stuff in next day after the factory radiator cracked.

 

It's leaking past the cap? Did this only start with the new radiator? Maybe the sealing face on the radiator fill neck is a little messed up

 

If you take the cap off and gently lift the smaller rubber seal, not the cap to top of rad seal but the smaller one on the spring loaded tip do you see any gunk like rusty goo or previous owner stop leak crap or is it spotless clean? My other question is does it have a 0331 head?
