2001 Limited: Sluggish Acceleraton

2001 Limited: Sluggish Acceleraton
Hello all,
Noob to the forum here. My son has a 2001 Limited with the 4.0 inline 6. It seem very sluggish to me and I’ve had a 1991 and 1993 in the past.
He periodically get misfire codes. I’m wondering if it’s a fuel regulator or something.
He get decent fuel economy out of the thing but it seems sluggish to me. Maybe I’m just not used to it.
I used my ODB2 reader today. Fuel trims seemed to be +/- 5 and I believe the MAP reading was normal (around 10 at idle and would go upwards of 30 as I opened the throttle).
Any suggestions would be much appreciated.
