2000 WJ DVD Head Rest
Hello I'm new to the community 1st post, but not new to jeeping we have a 98 TJ, 2000 WJ & a 2003 KJ. When it come to wiring i'm not the brightest bulb in the lamp to say the least although i can usual get the job done. this time id like to make sure its wired in properly and everything is done correctly.
I've begun installing some DVD head rest units in the 2000 WJ. last night I was able to install the head units, and fish the wires through the seats and run them to the driver side floor panel. Ill be installing each head unit onto its own power supply from the under dash fuse block with the use of a mini Add-a-Circuit Holder. I'm trying to determine which location on the block would be best to add the add a circuit too. I'd like it set up to be run on an accessory so the units turn off with the vehicle so they wife and kids dont get stranded if they are left on while parked.
looking at my fuse block i was thinking of using the Radio in cavity #30 and the radio/Amplifier in cavity #5.
i have noticed some spare cavities in the block. would these be available for me to plug into as well to get accessory power? They are found in Cavities # 1,2,10,13,C3. is it as simple as plugging in the add a circuit to these spare cavities and checking for accessory power when keyed....?
any help of guidance to help me out would be greatly appreciated.
