Hello everyone,
I have been searching online for someone with a similar issue, and obviously from the creation of this post, I have been unsuccessful in my search. If anyone has already solved this issue, please redirect me accordingly. Thank you.
The Issue
As stated above, I have a 2000 Jeep Grand Cherokee Limited, with Auto AC. My AC was working perfectly fine on Friday, I didn't drive my jeep Sat or Sun, then Monday morning my AC suddenly no longer works. There is absolutely no air flow from any of the vents. When I turn on the AC I hear two creaks coming from the dash underneath the steering wheel, like a rocking chair. Then when I turn off the AC I hear a quiet pop. I'm not sure is the creaking is directly related to the issue. I have tried both max AC and max heat, neither have any effect on airflow.
Attempted Fixes
I checked the HVAC hose behind the passenger headlight, and that seems to be in adequate condition. I have removed the motor and fan to check the re circulation door, and the door is open. I replaced the motor resistor, seeing the melted housing and corroded wires, thinking that would solve my problem. Unfortunately, I still have zero air flow.
If anyone has any suggestions, I would love to know.
Thank you,
~B
