Hi all,

I was searching the web for help and I found this forum so I'm hoping that maybe one of you might be able to help.

I have a 2000 Jeep Grand Cherokee, 4 WD, 6 cyl. with a bad water pump. My husband and brother in law have been trying for the last 4 days to get the fan shroud off with no luck at all. The bolt hasn't budged in the slightest.

I was just wondering if anyone else out there had experienced a similar problem and if so what did you do to get the bolt to loosen? Even if you haven't had this problem, do you have any suggestions?

Thanks for any help you may be able to offer!

It is the large bolt that is holding the fan on.

you should have an electric fan,do you? if so,theres no need to remove it. I just did my water pump the other day in about 45 mins. i removed nothing but the belt to get it out.

Ours is attached right to the fan. A pain in the butt it is! Ol'blue advised on getting a spanner wrench so we will be picking one up tomorrow. Hopefully it works!
