Got a question concerning an error I made today when I ordered a radiator off of ebay for my son's 2000 Grand Cherokee with 4.7 engine, I made a mistake and ordered a radiator for a 2001 Grand Cherokee 4.7 and tonight I checked and saw that its already been shipped, I know that I can send it back once it gets here but need to get the GC back on the road asap and was wondering if the one I ordered for a 2001 will fit his 2000 anyway, they look identical in the pictures but are there any major differences in the width and height between the two? Any feedback on my mistake would be appreciated. I plan to install it asap if the 2001 rad will fit his 2000 GC

I would think they are the same since they are the same body style and engine.

Yeah, you would think that either one would fit but every parts source shows different part numbers on the radiators for year models 2000 and 2001. My dumb self should have been a little more aware of my son's Grand Cherokee 2000 year model before I ordered it, he's off at college and the vehicle is never here at home for me to look at or do service work on it and wife drives a Grand Cherokee and daughter a Cherokee and I have a Wrangler so we have several Jeeps of different year models and believe me its hard to remember all the year models of each sometimes. Just maybe the 2001 radiator will work, if not I will ship it back and get the one for his 2000.
