Hey guys I am tryng to help my father rebuild his front suspension on his 2000 grand cherokee and was hoping yall could help me out. I am a car guy to the bone but havent done very much work on Jeeps in particular so I am hoping maybe someone has a service manual that I could download or that they could post some of the pertinent sections of for me. Basically his entire front suspension is worn out IE: tie rods, ends, ball joints, struts etc... Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance!!

 

I am doing the exact same thing to my 2000, its a mess up front. The Chilton's manual is pretty good for descriptions on all this. You can pick one up at most autoparts stores or order online. I haven't started on mine yet, so I wouldn't mind advice from others.

I need to do tie-rods, ball joints (upper and lower), new axle (cv blown) and a rear axle seal to boot. I'm also changing the shocks (other ones are 130k old). Brakes are probably a Spring job for me, but also need to be done.

 

Any luck on the rebuild. I am in the same spot with mine.
Any insight would be great. Cost, problems, time ect..

They dont have struts. If u need a manual to work on a simple design as these, u probably shouldnt be working on it. Sorry.
