1999 Jeep Grand Cherokee TC problems
Hi, first post for me! Been reading posts and U guys rock! I have a stock 99 Grand Cherokee with a 4.0 with 142K miles. The 247J TC is making noise while driving, a clanking noise inside TC when I hand turn drive shaft. My bud has a 249J TC out of a 1995 GC, will this work? Should I try to rebuild my 247? What could be making the noise? Thx Foss1999

IMO... 249 TC's are not the best TC out there. Your better off with the 247 and rebuilding it. Or up grading it depending on if you wheel your rig or not.
