I recently bought a 1997 Jeep Grand Cherokee that was missing the driver's door panel and module. I checked with my local junkyard and they pulled one from their yard...Problem is the module has a place for 3 connectors and my Jeep appears to only have one connector. So they pulled one from an older one but it was the same thing. Anyone had this problem?

The door was replaced by the previous owner with one from a 1995 Grand Cherokee, and the wiring doesn't appear to have been tampered with.

I see switches for the ZJ on ebay, and none accept the connector you show. Rockauto shows the same switch the yard gave you, for 93-98. You may have better luck in the ZJ forum. > https://www.cherokeeforum.com/f5/

I think only 96, 97 for sure will be compatible with your 97. Maybe 98. For sure not a 95 though.

We figured it out. It was the right module, it was missing the wiring harness for the door that plugs in the the plug I have.
