I'm looking at buying a 1997 grand Cherokee in good clean condition with 175k miles. The owner said that the previous owner let it sit for awhile. The owner also says he has ran new gas, fuel treatment sedative, new distributed and cap, plugs and wires. When you start it the idle jumps back and forth about 200-300 rpms. when you drive it it kinda sputters during acceleration but when your at 40-50 everything is fine and cruises. It only has an issue during idle and acceleration. I'm not sure if its something I want to get involved with or just pass on it. He wants $3k for it and its clean no leaks good tires and interior and extirio. Engine bay is spotless also. Please help me!
