Helping a friend with his 1996 zj limited v8 quadratrac. I drove it myself, when your going down the road straight the left front (right in the wheel area) ticks with an occasional pop. Now when turning slow, especially to the right, there are loud pops and noises coming from the same area. I crawled under the truck and it seems as if 1: the front swaybar has just the slightest play in it if you rattle it hard or bang on it with the palm of your hand. Personally i dont think thats the problem. Now #2: on the left front wheel, theres a rubber boot that covers some sort of jointing (if i had to take a guess ball joint or cv joint?). Well, thats ripped in half and is exposed that what i think the culprit is. Does anybody have any imput on this situation. Anything is appreciated. thanks

definetly a cv joint. i wouldnt drive it much if you dont have to until you get it replaced
