how much did they charge you for it? also for consideration, the reason they go bad is because the solder joints fail over time (age related). those can be easily repaired by taking the panel off and re-soldering the connections.
oh, one other question...do you need to reprogram that for your VIN?

Not sure if solder is bad or not, it's still in original packing and plastic wrap. I don't know how you would reprogram it since the 1995 is not programmable and a new PROM would have to be soldered in to place to make any changes to it. 1998 and later models require VIN programming.
