I have a 1995 jeep grand Cherokee 4.0 straight 6. I was driving it the other day and all of a sudden it started sounding like it was stuck in first gear..I "can" move it in and out of gear-drive,reverse,and low gears.but it still sounds and acts like its not wanting to come out of first, when i try to step on the gas I barley get any pick up and the rpms go way up... any ideas on whats wrong with it? And "yes" I have checked the fluid level....I might be women, that does not make me stupid..
