The jeep starts up every time without a problem and is running the best it has in a long time but as soon as it starts to warm up and you are coming to a stop it stalls out on you. Like I said it starts right back up but you do have to give it gas while popping it into drive or it will stall out again. Then it will run without a problem again for a bit then stall out again when coming to a stop.
We've already changed the transmission (rebuilt), spark plugs, cap/rotor, plug wires, oil filter and air filter,Crankshaft Position Sensor, and the Ignition Coil. I did the ignition on/off and got the following codes 12, 35, 55. I know the 12 is because the battery was disconnected and the 55 is the end of the test. Looked up the 35 and it says its the radiator fan relay.
Two questions. Where is this relay located and would this be causing the stalling problem? The engine gets too hot so it shuts itself down because the fan won't kick in? The fan runs when I start the engine just never noticed what it's doing when the stalling starts.
Any suggestions would be great. Don't want to be shelling out more money than I already have on getting it to run right.

You have a bad idle air control valve thats causing the engine to stall when coming to a stop. It's on the throttle body and real easy to replace.

Should I worry about the code? Is there a way to clear that?Originally Posted by Bustedback

I didn't replace it but cleaned it. When I took it out it was all black. When I put it back it was clean. Now it just stalls out when I'm sitting in the driveway?Originally Posted by Bustedback

Did you pull the plunger out? Start the engine and keep your foot on the gas for a few minutes until the engine controller relearns the motor steps for idle. But seriously, replace the IAC motor.

Very easy and inexpensive as well.
Well I went and got the new part. Now it doesn't turn over at all. I should say that. It turned over once ran for a second or two then died. Hasn't started back up since.
Any ideas? I'm running out. Thanks.

sorry new here and not sure where to post or start a post, I have a 1998 cherokee 4x4 6 cyl that has been a honey, untill 2 days ago on my way to work it dies and won't start. had a friend of mine put it on his errror gizmo and it comes up no errors. the only thing I notice that is differrent is the loctronics that was on it when I bought it, when security key was plugged in green light was on when taken out red light was on, now no light, when taken out green light flashes for a min. or 2 then flashes red plug security key in goes solid green for a few seconds then goes out. am frustrated and need some help, tried looking up loctronics on how this thing works and can find nothing, is this my problem or is it something else? thanks any help will be greatly appreciated.

Have the battery load tested. Lights and radio mean nothing.Originally Posted by jeepdude8

Yep. Fuel pressure is fine. Did notice that my alternator fuse was blown. Running down to pick up a new one and testing the battery again.Originally Posted by Bustedback
Have you checked the fuel pressure?
