Hey all, my buddy bought a 1994 Grand Cherokee with 200,000+ miles on it. His transfer case is giving him problems. While moving if he tries to put it into Full Time 4 from 2WD it makes a loud grinding noise. Also he has trouble putting it into Full Time even at a stand still. The previous owner allegedly drove it around in PART TIME all the time. I was just wondering if that would kill the TC. I hada similar problem where it would get stuck in Part Time if i went from 2WD to Full Time but it worked itself out. Any thoughts?

To move from one selection to another you have to be stopped and in natural or park.
