X2. The old battery and alternator should be tested to see which one, or both, was bad. And if neither was bad, be prepared for a recurrence.

Yeah, the parts were a gift for the birthday, so I threw them on, sure can't hurt. Kind of went with the "Shotgun approach". I do plan on having the parts I removed tested.
