Situation is as follows..

Driving home the radio stopped working..not cool...really good song was on..anyway, it came back on and than the vehicle just died...everything shut off.

Towed it home. Today I was trying to work out the issue...most of the symptoms were driving toward the ASD relay. No joy. I have clicking all over the place...I have tried the ole shifting while starting...ie park and neutral trick...no go. Battery is deader than a door nail so I tried swapping my wife's for mine. Way bigger battery...still no go.

Right now I am at a total lose

 

Btw...alternator and starter have been replaced

 

How recently was alternator replaced? Bad internal diode within the alt is possible. Check serpentine belt is nice and tight.

 

found the culprit...what I was told was a new starter turned out to be the bad boy. Seemed the asd picked up on a problem and shut the vehicle down. Wasn't expecting it to happen while driving. All good now.
