So I rebuilt my front end recently after a crash and everything is running smooth, but I've been having problems with my transmission.

All four dash lights show up at times, [P][R][N][D] and it hesitates to get momentum. This also happens on occasion when putting it in drive after starting the vehicle.

Yesterday, I had the transmission flushed/new filter and brought to spec levels. Didn't help. Although at least I've crossed it off.

Any other ideas would be greatly appreciated!!!

I am having major problems! To elaborate on my previous problems, I've scheduled the transmission to be flashed on Monday - maybe that will fix the transmission issue.

However, things have gotten significantly worse. I'll try to explain...

Had the rushing water sound in my dash for a couple weeks, wasn't causing issues. So I tried bleeding the coolant with the valve (allen bolt) at the upper rad hose right before the engine. Sound is still there. There seems to be a ton of pressure on the hose now as well.

Today it over heats soon after driving, both idling and while moving. Temp gauge goes to max, I get a 'check gauges' and 'transmission over temp' intermittently. I ran codes, now not am I only getting the P0304 (#4 misfire) that I already had - I'm also getting P0300 and P0305, multiple misfire and #5 misfire, respectively.

I am beginning to think that I've killed the head gasket, or I've warped something. I'm preparing for worst case scenario...

Any thoughts?

I realize most members here own XJ's (as I do) and older GC's, but you're all such a knowledgeable group of people! I resorted to posting on another forum with more WK members, but now I feel bad

Update:

I have removed the shift module from the Jeep - apparently the graphite contacts leave tracks between the gears over time and then it can't differentiate between gears. Will clean and put back in...another possibility off the list at least!
