01 Grand Cherokee CV joints and motor mounts?

01 Grand Cherokee CV joints and motor mounts?

I bought a 2001 grand cherokee and it needs CV jounts bad. It has the 6 cylinder and is full time 4X4 with the hi neutral low selector. When I look up CV jounts they recommend changing the motor mounts saying something about alignment is critical. What and why is this? I have $500 for the jeep and don't want to spend too much on it.

thought the 01 had a SFA still so it wouldn't have CV Joints but would have u-joints.

It has cv's.

I don't know , that's what autozone tells me. Ima just swap them for u joint axles. And I'm not changing the motor mounts unless I feel like I have to. I got 95 zj 4.0 by the way
