So those of you who know me the last Xj I built was strictly a rock crawling trailer queen which was basically a point and go kinda rig.

I'm building this sexy little red one completely stock with a blown motor that I blew on the way home!

It will get most of my parts including the front axle and suspension. Anyway starter pics stay tuned for the next update

 

How'd you blow the motor? What blew?

 

I was on the highway started making a very loud knocking noise and them bam no power locked up will barely turn over. Motor has a crap Ton of rust in it and every seal leaked. We Picked the whole jeep up for $700

 

Aw. I was hoping for something more fun and exciting.

What are plans besides your old axles? What size tire, cage, etc?

 

Not just me this time Madison and I are both building this one. Plan is boatsides, cage, exo and internal. Doubler set up 3.5" lift and 37s stretched 3 inches in the front too. Full frame plating. Hydro assist. Front 44 for now rear axle is bent/ cracked so need to find a new one or retube. Regear to 5.13s. Aluminum radiator with triple electric fan set up. Flow kooler water pump and I'm sure we are forgetting some things

 

Even more awesome. Sounds like a sweet build, just don't go full retard this time like you did with the xj from hell

 

HAHA no i wont madi wont let me. after this thing is done it will be full chassis buggy time

 

So got the red one moved and on the lift to start plating and ripping out axles. Pulled the big girl in and started pulling her apart. So sad to see her go

 

After a couple months of not doin crap with it I finally quit my second job so I can focus more on getting this thing built. Tonight I picked up a jasper motor with less than 10,000 miles on it. Needs some cleaning up but shouldn't run to bad! Pics to follow soon

 

Update! Sweet. Can't wait to see progress.

 

After making all the unibody plate templates I went ahead and ground off all the paint. What a mess! Almost hood time!
