Well driving to work tonight the jeep started smoking from behind really bad and a burning smell. Shortly after my jeeps transmission started slipping really bad. Assuming I blew a tranny line... it in the lot now but I didnt get a chance to take a look. Ill have to check in the morning. Oh joy!

There will never be an end.... lol. Got the jeep back from the shop, replaced the transmission lines and fixed my antifreeze leak. Blew the tranny line driving to work the other day on the highway. Driving to work tonight I realized how bad I need tires, pulled a full 360 on the highway at 55mph, talk about a rush!

 

Let her sit in the rain today, also did a trade, took out my hideaway strobes and traded them for a couple sets of green led strobes and white strobes. Its like 4 or 5 sets, im going to try and wire them all into one circuit with one switch. This should work for that green light bar I was trying to save for. Pics and video when I start the project, and when its done.

Also some jeep only parking at the grocery store.

 

had more drama with the jeep after the shop replaced the transmission lines... transmission was slipping checked fluid, empty... went in and they said my rear lines are bad and leaking and that they only replaced my front lines.... if I take my jeep to you and say my transmission lines need to be replaced then look at them and replace what needs to be replaced. They then had the nerve to say we can do the rear lines for another 125. Took it somewhere else and got them done along with my linkage tightened up and a new neutral safety switch for 80 bucks. /end rant. On another note I finished my green strobes in the front for now, its still just a step toward what I want until I decide to just suck it up and just buy a real led strobe bar. Have to run a left and right through the firewall for lights and a left and right for the rear light bar to build. Also finally decided to go halves on the dipyourcar.com full car kit with my roommate. Were going to both paint our cars this spring.

 

autozone did a while back have all led accessories 15% but i'm not sure if they still do or not. i just got a cheap pair that had 3 different flash setting and also could be set to be a constant on for a fog lamp. although in the cold they don't want to stay on they just want to flash.

 

Well im incredibly bored at work tonight and its going to be getting warm soon, so I think im going to make a post to get some thoughts together. I guess itll be a post more or less to make a list of things that need to be done/want to do.

Want a new bumper, a tube bumper. Ive posted pics of ideas, but I have to have one made for me. Price will be unknown until I get some estimates.

Want half doors, gcjeepings half doors are amazing and I really think I am going to figure out some way to get a set made.

Have to get new injectors from a member and install those

Need a new exhaust, going to go with magnaflow cat and a flomaster 50 series thru kolak.

Need to give the jeep a really good detailing. Including under the hood in the engine bay.

Need to fix the dent in the brush guard, unless I get the front bumper first.

Need to put on my BB and replace all the bushings and everything for my steering. Its so bad. Was waiting until I got a 4 inch lift and replace it all then, but that will have to wait.

Need new tires, after the BB.

Want CCFL headlights.

Want LED taillights.

Want to fix the dents in both front fenders.

Painting it all black with plasti-dip then a coat of lime green metal flakes and a glossifier, just so its not flat black, and itll have a very slight green shimmer.

Want D ring shackle for the trailer hitch

Want roof rack

Want xd rockstar rims.

Need to do brake upgrade. My front passenger rotors f***ed. I juat replaced it and the caliper less then a year ago. Caliper is sticking and rotors warped.

Need to find my very small coolant leak.

Want CAI.

Need to finish wiring up my led strobes.

Need to do something with my tunes.

Need to get zip ties and clean up some of my wiring.

Need to just suck it up and take her to the dealer to get my windshield wipers working.

Want window tint

Want rain guards for windows

Want sliders. Looking at stage 3, I like that little bit of a step it gives you.

Guess thats a start for a summer list. We will see how much gets done.

 

Well it was gorgeous today. Mid 30s and sunshine are way better then the single digits and snow. So I decided to start a detailing project on the jeep. I took the whole center console out today and brike it down and scrubbed it all piece by piece. I took apart the shifters and cleaned the little shades.around the shift *****. While I had them off I noticed.the little orange indicator to tell you if you're in drive or park or whatever is just a littl piece of see through plastic colored orange. So I took a lime green sharpie and colored it green. Now the parts are all in my dining room waiting til tomorrow to put them back in. Im going to vaccume the carpet really good while the console it's out and run my wires better before I put it back in. It'll look really nice, ill probably armorall it before I put it back. Also took her to get a carwash.

 

Have not had any luck period, not just with the jeep. So my debit card got hacked, woke up to negative 300 in the bank. Had to despute the charges, and go to the bank and fill all the papers out. Now no debit card. My paycheck got deposited and after rent leaves me 30 dollars for 2 weeks. Until they solve the problem, which I was told it could take a month to be reimbursed. Waiting to buy the stealthbox out of the classified here. Hes waiting on payment and im just waiting to pay him. On top of that I still havent put my center console back in. Havent had time with all the bull with the bank. Went to my moms today, got some pretty good flex out front, to borrow the shop vac/carpet cleaner and went to open my trunk... wouldnt open... the hydraulic lift tube (whatever its called) on the left wouldnt budge. So I lifted hard... an broke it. That threw the whole thing out of wack and I had to take the one on the right off. Also... it bent my hatch, or the hinge so now my hatch wont close. Its about a half inch off now. Had to have my brother help.me pust the hatch closed. Now I have another issue to deal with the jeep. Smh... also I have a quick video of my homemade led hidden light bar. Its not best quality, and I have more to wire in. But its what I have done so far. Building a rear light bar, and some extra strobes to put here and there. I want to make it all hidden and then BAM! Light up like a xmas tree. Here are pics of everything including my video.

Not much to report on the jeep. Picked up a few things here and there for the jeep. Waiting on it to warm up to carpet clean my floors and seats, then reinstall my center console. Its been scrubbed and armoralled. I went to the pull-a-part the other day. If you have a zj and need anything let me know, there are a million of them in the yard, only 2 wjs though. Scored the piece without the ashtray but the cubby for the console for $2.15. Also picked up a JL audio stealthbox, with the 10in JL sub. Hooked it up in my roommates car really quick, sounds great. Cant wait to install that too. Super impressed with the condition of the box for the age. Have to redo my brakes again. Last summer my drivers side caliper kept sticking. Well just yesterday I had to pull over. My passenger side caliper locked and.I couldn't get it unstuck for the life of me. It was literally pouring smoke when I pulled over also my rotar is warped.bad on the side. So debating the brake upgrade or just fix whats broken and move on. Anyone have an estimate if I wanted to upgrade? Still have that BB I might put on. I need all new bushings for my suspension I think... Its so bad, driving is starting to get scary the jeep just drifts wherever and I have to constantly correct her. My transmission is slipping more and more. I wonder if its even worth all the crap I have to do to her. I dug out some brake cleaner im going to spray my taillights and scrub them I was told it should take the tint off of them. Ill retint them just not as dark. Im sure there is more to post but it is 420am and I cant think of everything right now. Pics to come soon.

 

So havent posted anything new in a while. Not a whole lot to report. A few minor heres and theres, I have been really strapped for cash lately, quit my job at the airport for a new job doing sales. A nice 3 dollar increase in pay annnnnd full benefits. Cant wait til I start there and get that first paycheck. I will still be poor but the jeep will be happy. Ill finally be able to pull the trigger on some of the bigger projects on my list.

Went to harbor freight and picked this bad boy up so I could finally put my BB on... but as we all know, its a jeep something went wrong. No matter what I tried one lug would not budge, even broke a 1/4 ratchet. Took it to a shop. They couldnt get it off either... so I decided id go back once I have money and can afford to pay to get work done.



Got my dipyourcar.com car kit via ups, I ordered black with the black betty pearl for my final color, also ordered a few cans of lime green to do my accents. Havent painted her yet. Gotta replace my fenders first.



Didnt have reverse lights in like 8 months, I broke the connectors for them and I picked these up for 6 bucks on ebay. I got 6 of them.


Since I already had led taillights I went with led reverse bulbs too. 12 bucks on ebay. Then I used acetone to get all the tint off my taillights and redid them with plastidip. 2 wet coats and 2 coats of glossifier. The light shines through so much better now.

Having the trunk open really just made me want to test fit my new stealthbox too so I went ahead and cleaned the whole backend out and put the stealthbox in. Its not hooked up right now, and I dont have it mounted properly yet. Im really pleased with the condition I got it in. I hooked it up in my buddy's car it sounds wonderful!





With the back that clean I decided to do a full clean on the interior. And then installed my center console (I took it all out and scrubbed it clean, fixed the shades on my shifters, colored the orange indicator for what gear im in lime green, and replaced.the ashtray with the cubby).



Need new floor mats bad, I think itll make the whole interior like new


My very first mod, dont think I ever posted this one. Its remote controlled and changes between 7 colors, or fades slowly through them. Also had a pulse to the music... but theres a slight lag so I dont ever set them to do that. They usually just fade through the colors.


The newest thing I did yesterday was this new sticker, and I debadged the jeep.

Flexed the front out the other day on the 2 cinder blocks so this morning after work backed her in on top of the blocks To try the rear.
