The Wicked Jester
This is my build thread for my 99 Cherokee Classic, 140xxx miles.
Unfortunately I've been lazy with recording my progress but I'm going to post what I have and keep up on it from now on.
So here she is stock:
Installed a 3.5" RE superflex with 31x10.50 Yokohama A/T.
Sorry I'm really low on good pictures...
The upper shock bolts broke, so we tap & dyed them out. Other than that though there wasn't any major problems doing this install.
Painted my rims:
And after the kit was done:

That winter was fun!
Then I decided that I NEED bigger tires. (I definitely don't I live on Long Island...)
So I cut my fenders:
And threw 33x12.50 Dayton A/T's on there.
Problem was I was being an anxious kid and didn't do my research and cut the seam off in the rear...
So we ended up getting some serious bonding cement/glue w/e you wanna call it, and filled it in, then covered my mess with bushwackers!

I replaced the front fenders I cut with new ones that I sprayed flat black (Kind of):
And then cut these.
Then finally fixed it all with a nice set of bushwacker flares.

Thats a good looking jeep. I had those rims on my old 98. I wanted to paint them black, but I wasn't sure how they'd turn out. It looks like I had nothing to worry about. Looks good.

I thought it looked wierd lol... I had a feeling the camber was off, what do I adjust them to though?
I don't know much about it and I have been feeling something wrong in the front, like I said thats been in the back of my head for a while!

Gonna need new control arms up front. Whether you get fixed or adjustable control arms is entirely up to you.
For example -

Great lookin rig though!

I was just thinking this, but wasn't going to say anything since I've not lifted a Jeep yet. The front wheels need to be pushed forward a tiny bit...
Wow, those Bushwackers make a huge opening, don't they? Still on 3.5", with 33s, and no rub? Looks good!

Okay, now I'm starting to wonder...I think there was a mix up down at RE because I put in for a 3.5" kit and its my understanding that from the center of the rim to the flare is 17" stock. My rear comes in at 23" and my front at 22.5" (measurement based on 31's on stock flares not 33's and bushwackers). This is a 5 inch lift. And if I'm correct, the lift comes in about 1" more than stock from them. Furthermore I had TONS of problems after this kit install which was supposed to be the best height with the least mechanical problems, T-case drop blew my tranny. The axle was shifted ALOT toward the drivers side. The camber is off now (obviously). So is it possible that I was sent the 4.5" springs with 3.5" parts?
