Default why did i wait so long to get one....

my first XJ 94 country

this will be a budget build
obtained it for a good price, the previous owner towed it behind his motor home and forgot to put T-case in neutral. smoked the tranny. made it home just fine without reverse.

went to the local pull-a-part and got a AW4 for $77.88 including core and 30 day warranty.
while i was there, i picked up a pair of ZJ V-8 coils for $18 bucks. built a bastard pack from some donor springs (found broken leaf in my stock springs)

finished product was around 2" higher

today's project was removing stock flares and trimming fenders
grocery getter

now it's starting to look like a jeep

i decided to fold the fronts to match the rear , and to make the edge stronger

i still need to mask and spray bedliner along edge and lower quarters, but here's how she looked at the end of today

How do you like those tires? A friend of mine offered up a new set for free in that same size. Gonna grab them for my Dad's Cherokee.

they seemed to do pretty well, two of them are fairly worn, but the side lugs helped when aired down. i would like to get two more, having a hard time finding them.
i do know that Dayton and Widetrack are the same tire, made by firestone/bridgestone but haven't had much luck searching google for new ones

Thanks. It took a little more time for the front, with the fold vs cut/ rubber edge trim, but i think it made the fender stronger.

I can believe that..i'm conastantly working out plans/ideas in my head, and my to do list keeps growing.
This weekend i'm headed back to pull a part to get some more goodies.
Zj tie rod. "TIE ROD ASSY $13.80 +$2.21 30 day warranty."
Can't beat those prices. Also going to try and find a set of steel stock wheels

Right on, can't beat that. I traded this one for some labor to wire a pole barn.
Coolest box on wheels, for sure

Jeep looks good. Did you get all 3" up front from the ZJ coils?
