[QUOTE="Basslicks;3063498"] Kinda sucks but it pays the bills. Should be driving down to meet my friend after work this morning at 4wheel parts in Tampa to pick up the adjustable LCAs. If I can stay awake that long.... uuuggghhhh.[/QUOTE

I'm running on E myself. Hope you get your parts and some kind of progress on the xj

For those of you wondering (pretty much just Doc, I think)... this didn't happen. Had more bills than gas money to be able to drive for 3 hours total down to 4WheelParts in Tampa to meet him and pick them up... plus I was dead tired when I got off work and didn't want to tempt fate by trying to drive there and back after working all night long running on 4 hours of sleep the day before.

Bummed I didn't get my parts.
Bummed I didn't get to go to 4WP
Bummed I didn't get to meet Eugene and see his Pristine 91 XJ on 6.5" IROR long arms with 35" tires.

I'm going back down to the Tampa area once I'm registered and get all my parts in (hopefully weekend after Easter). I too have parts waiting on me.

That's cool, let me know when you're going down - maybe I can hitch a ride and we can split some gas money or something.

Making any progress? I'm still planning to go down to Tampa Saturday but it all depends on when I get my driveshaft in. Can't be driving with crazy vibes either so shims are a must.

Nope. On call tomorrow and the next day so fingers crossed I might get to do someting on the jeep as long as I don't get called in. I really hope I don't. 12 days stretches of 12 hours shifts with a day off and then another 7 or 8 days before the next 1 day off really gets old after awhile.

But I did wash it the other day.

Applause?
No?
Anybody?

Is this thing on?

Yeah no applause... Since she isn't lifted yet she should be clay barred and with a fresh coat of wax. Then you get applause

No picture, but used it to tow about 1k lbs today. Maybe a little more, I don't know how much my trailer weighs, but I'm guessing it's about 500 lbs considering I can flip it over on its top by myself, but it's very hard to do so. Brought 480lbs of scrap (ooooold GE fridge and an old Kenmore grill) to the local crap yard and got $14 richer. Jeep didn't even know that load was back there, but the suspension on the trailer sure did. Hit a bump going over the railroad tracks and it hit HARD!

I think I'm going to use my stock XJ springs on it when I get my lift springs under my jeep. Probably fab up some spring mounts and a spring perch. Should be a fun little project. go.jeep-xj.info/index.htm <- says you should never use a suspension on your trailer that you would put on your Jeep. Figure I may as well test that theory. Figure the back half of the jeep is about 3x as heavy as the trailer, so those factory XJ leafs will be perfect. Should keep the load from getting bounced around too bad as well.

Man I'm tired..... g'night!

Well glad to hear your XJ not only stood up but excelled at the challenge. Gotta love a 4.0

Heck yeah dude. And that trailer is light compared to the boat I pulled to my house that belongs to a friend of mine.
