Unicorn Found!
I found a unicorn!! I have been looking for an OEM gas tank skid for my 2000 XJ for several years. I was randomly looking on craigslist and lo and behold, there it was. Maybe there is hope in finding OEM front tow hook brackets.

Well darn it!☹️! I have been told by a user on another forum I have. ZJ skid and not an XJ skid. It does fit but not sure what I want to do. It sure looked like the real thing. Shucks.

I was in the junkyard a few months ago and found a already removed xj gas tank skid, someone pulled the tank and left the skid behind in the trunk! I didn't have the cash to get it so when I I came back the next day to get it, the dumb guys at the JY put another jeep on top of it and crushed it!

Things like that just hurt don't they? I was at my local pull and pay and fond a front set of tow hooks from a 98 XJ. I was able to get the he off the jeep but could not get the bumper separated from brackets. The flat rate for the bumper, which was badly bent, I think was $55.00. At the time I did not know how hard the hooks were to find so I thought I would come back and he next day with the same tools necessary to separate them. Needless to say by the time I got back they were gone.
