14psi, honestly it should be making about 400whp at this boost, but given the issues with the valve float and torque converter, it’s still impressive

For as impressive as your peak numbers are, it seems a bit soft below 4000 rpm.
You boost curve must really ramp up. Probably a bit too big turbocharger. It would be interesting to see your boost curve also on chart.

Having said that, you have the 3rd highest power Jeep I6 engine. I have been collecting dyno numbers for a long time.
Even with Dynojet reading 10% high, you still rank right up there. I have to add you to my list.

The dyno runs were done with the stock head, stock manifold, and stock throttle body. Also my wheel speed to rpm indicated a 43% converter slip, but I knew it was broken, it’s been making noise for a while now.

Stock parts and slipping converter, Even more impressive.
Correction made, thanks.

Can't wait to see with Clifford 4 barrel intake manifold, 102mm TB, and Ported big valve Edelbrock head and 'tighter' converter or lock up converter.

It seems like the turbo is a bit too big as there is not much below 4000 rpm, 250tq is like only 4-5psi boost. After 4000rpm it really picks up.
Although this might be good as less power and TQ at lower rpm will save the drivetrain and better tire hookup.

Yeah Valve Springs are difficult to find that will fit and work well and not flatten the cam.
Russ has some LS springs that might do the trick.

Yeah, the turbo is definitely on the large side for this configuration, but it was good back when i first had the unmodified aluminum head on it. With the proper matching valve springs I would be able to turn it up to 6000rpm no issue, and it would peak around 22-23 psi, however this was before i had a dyno and i was afraid to mess with the timing too much so it was far less advance than it is now. But rather than thinking what it would be if it was all well, I am building a new motor and refreshing the whole truck, new converter and trans, new fuel pump etc. The new engine will be a destroked 4.0, 3" stroke vs 3.41" for a stock motor for a final displacement of 3.6L, coupled with the forged rotating assembly, super high flow head, giant throttle body on a port matched manifold, and possibly a roller cam, I hope to break the record.

would love to see a video or pics on the wiring setup...mostly because I want to see how you built yours, in comparison to using the factory harness with larger injectors like I plan to...ill still run megasquirt but not going so far as to use LS parts in my jeep. also what is the break in like on your motor? same as a regular 4.0 or is it different?

Old thread, but I have to guess you're done with that build...??? Do you still have the XJ?
