Rust everywhere! Broke a couple of bolts, so we welded on home made bar pin eliminators for the upper part of the rear shocks. Bastard pack is complete though using s10 blazer complete leaf packs with the eyelets cut off.

Got right at 4 inches of lift in the rear.

Good deal on the rear pack. How many s10 Leafs did you use? I'm gonna start the same battle with rust this week. I have been pb blasting bolts all week, lol.

I PB Blastered mine once a few days prior and then the day of. I used the entire leaf pack with the eyelets cut off. It was four leaves and the main XJ leaf. I had to drill out the XJ leaf to accept the S10 pin and then ground the head down to fit the perches. Used Rubicon Express U bolts to clamp it all down. I still need to mount the shocks. It was an all day project for me. 93civej1 helped me out for awhile.

I would imagine the front should go pretty quickly for ya when you do it.

It's definitely not as rusty.

That's why I want to do the rear first also. Get the worst rust out of the way. If I can get lucky on the rear upper shock bolts it should be smooth.

Those were by far the worst bolts on mine. Only one of the four came out. Two of them broke and the head rounded off on the other. Unfortunately, you can't really get any PB up in there and they are so small in diameter, they just shear right off. I hope yours are better!

Here are the eyes that I cut off the S10 Blazer leaf packs. One side still had the shackle on it when I pulled them from the junkyard.

Picked up a set of used JK Rubicon shocks from a buddy for free. They're a little faded, but should work well.

Getting the diy bar pin eliminators welded into place.

Craigslist find this morning. Picked up a Rubicon Express steering stabilizer new in the box for $20.

Hey man, nice rig! It's nice to have someone else in the neighborhood. Join Titan Off Road - it's a local club. We ride at lease once a month if you're wanting to test it out in a group.

Thanks man! I joined over there but haven't posted yet. I'd love to get together in a group when it's trail readyish
