XJs seem to have been neglected as far as seat covers go. The Smittybilt GEAR seats are supposed to fit but that's about it. Though I have heard of people using WK Liberty seat covers. You could look into that.

You're posting in the wrong section...
But from a quick search on google, I've found tons of seat covers. All you need to do is a little research. Below is a link to a list of them from a quick google search for "Cherokee Seat Covers -Grand" since we don't have Grand's.

Sorry I'm new at this...what section would you suggest.
All I could find was the Smittybilt in my "research", so I thought I might ask for some help

Cherokee Tech is the section that this question would have gone in. A quick search of google can net you wonders for anything you're looking for. I took a quick glance at Quadratec and 4wd.com and neither have any selection, unfortunately.
There is one company that has a huge selection of them but I can't seem to find the catalog right now. They had different covers for all the different style seats that Cherokees had in them, if I find it I'll post it up.

No harm. Thanks for your help. I'm getting a better understanding on the sections now too. I thought "Jeep builds" might work although a seat cover isn't so technical or a serious mod.
Thanks again.
Thanks again.

If your XJ has low back seats/djustable headrests (like my '92) be prepared for some serious searching if you want to maintain that adjustability. There are many "universal" seat covers that will fit the XJ with hi back seats. Check ebay, Seat Glovers, Igee and even Wet Okole. I hear that Igee are pretty good (ebay). I finally went with Wet Okole after wasting money on several sets of universals over the years.

You'll never guess...my 70+ mother is going to make them for me...I'm not kidding.
I'll let you know how they turn out and show pics. Shes a master with sewing. Maybe we'll go into business.

Ahhhh, yes. Excellent idea. I always wanted someone to make seat covers for me - my own mother is also a first class seamstress by trade, but her eyesight prevents any sewing these days. Besides she's in Florida. I'm really interested in seeing how they turn out. What material is she using? You can get seat-cover quality neoprene for a decent price online.

Thanks for the web sites.
We are going to make them out of a dark denim type fabric or heavy cotton/canvas and easily removable and washable.
