Scandinavian blacked out 2 door.
Finished tc drop today + installed driver side front coil spring. Need to buy a new set of spring compressors before I can finish the passenger side. Got so fed up when unscrewing them that I cut one of them with the grinder... They sucked anyway, and I don't think I would have trusted them for one more use. I had a bad experience with a breaking coil compressor in my youth, so I'm a bit nervous when using them.

Finished lift. Hoping it will settle at least an inch in the rear. I haven't adjusted anything yet, but it runs smooth. No vibrations.

Thanks guys!
Replaced rear brake line and cleaned throttle body and IAC today. The inside of the TB looked like it had been painted with tar. It felt like a new engine after cleaning. It sounds completely different. Will take it for a spin later today and see if runs better.

Tool roll
When I'm working on the car I usually spend fifty percent of the time just looking for tools creating an ever growing mess in the process. Since I don't have a garage I'm keeping all my tools in the cargo area. So I bought some heavy fabric (from here), dusted off my wifes old sewing machine and made this. Now I just need to find all my tools and put in there...
Going to sew on an elastic cord to keep it wrapped up. Everything in its place and no more rattling. I love it.

Measured lift to 4" in the front and 6.5" in the rear and it looks kinda stupid. I want her at 4" until I've installed SYE and upgraded LCAs and track bar so I've ordered a pair of 1" (RC adjustable 1"-2") to replace the 1.75" shackles I have now. Hopefully that'll bring her down to level after rear springs has settled.

RE leafs always gain more than stock. I'm waiting for mine to settle a bit as well. I got 5.25 front and 6.25 rear out of my set up.

Thanks for the heads up! You are probably right. I sent them a mail now to hear, but I guess they are 1.5-2". Will get some 1" ones instead. Or maybe 0.75".

Waiting for some new goodies I've ordered:
Also ordered a new idle air control and throttle pos. sensor. I've had some issues with high idle when engine is warm after I cleaned the TB and haven't found any vacuum leaks, so I'm kinda hoping it might be the IAC or the TPS. If not it won't hurt to replace them anyway. Next I'm gonna check the manifold for leaks.
With a one and a half year old and a newborn in the house I'm glad if I can get an hour or two in a week to work on the jeep, so things go slow...
On another note I've come to the conclusion that I want a TrueTrac limited slip in my front D30. This is my DD and we have a lot of snow in the winters here in Scandinavia. The boring thing is that I have to regear first, and I don't want to spend money on my D35, so it'll have to wait until I replace that. Will probably get and rebuild a Ford 8.8 from a Explorer as they are cheapest and easiest to find here. Chr. 8.25 are rare and D44 are unicorns. Will probably put a TT in that too... ****, this is getting expensive... But I take comfort in that the Land Rover LR4 I used to have as DD (just sold it) probably dropped more in value every month than I'm spending on my XJ... so, rock on
- RC 1-2" adjustable shackles (AirborneDeth: I checked and they should be 1").
- RE adjustable trackbar.
- RC lower control arms.
- Rugged Ridge floor liner.

You are getting after it, dude.
After staring at your XJ some more, you have inspired me to do something to mine (eventually). I will need paint at some point, and I'm going to do a dark satin grey when the time comes.

Thanks man.
Engine died on me while driving today. It started again after 20 minutes of cursing and swearing. Drove for 10 minutes then it died again. I let it rest for 10 minutes and it started. Also my high idle issue has taken a turn for the worse. Idles at 2000 now... Haven't had time for any trouble shooting yet, but guess it might be one of the following: coil, CPS, TPS, cam sensor? Any suggestions?
On the positive side I got a delivery today.
And a cool Smittybilt flashlight with magnet.

Since your cherokee is still renix....
Besides checking your vacuum lines like airborndeth said...
Double check your intake manifold bolts and have you refresh your grounds as per cruisers renix tips???
