Oh man, that's a long story. Basically I constantly troll FB Marketplace and Craigslist for potential builds. I'm a software guy by trade, but do automotive rebuilds for stress relief. This popped up on Facebook back in January and I contacted the guy. He had a tenant that had received the Jeep as partial payment for some home renovation he had done. The tenant was moving and could not take the inoperable Jeep with him, so he signed the title over to the landlord about 5 years ago. When I saw the condition of the Jeep sitting in the field, I was hesitant to go along with the purchase. but I could get the motor to turn over with my spare battery, and saw that it was complete and had only 135,000 mi on it. So for $600, I couldn't pass it up. Especially given that the engine itself could be a spare for my 2004 TJ. Just needed a fuel pump and battery to get it started, but I've done a lot more obviously. Finished painting and getting it put back together last weekend. Now I'm working on cleaning up and updating the interior. It's not in bad shape, just old.

Here's a partial list of what I've done since January. Pardon the Evernote notation.- [x] Plugs/Wires- [x] Fuel Pump/Strainer
- [x] Oil/Filter- [x] Battery- [x] Battery post bolts- [x] Coolant- [x] Transmission Fluid- [x] Exhaust - Flowmaster- [x] Exhaust hangers- [x] Alternator- [x] Transmission rear seal- [x] Rotors and Pads- [x] Fender Flares- [x] Primer- [x] Bumper/Trim Paint- [x] Paint - Eastwood Agave Green Metallic- [x] Headlights- [x] Fog lights- [x] Fixed Fuel Gauge

Also should add - The Jeep at one time belonged to some family friends of ours, but I didn't know that until I saw the title history. So it has been in Alabama its entire life = zero rust damage whatsoever.
