Jeep looks sick, how much was the 44 for the front?

For everything that is in the first picture of post #26, was just over 5k. But I sold off some of the old parts and it brought the overall cost to under 5. Still not cheap, but absolutely worth it for me.

Sounds like a solid investment.

All the parts will swap over to the next one when I've beaten this body to death.

That's the great thing about Cherokee's, easy to wrench on and most parts are interchangeable across the entire year range.

Even if I got a LJ or TJ instead, the entire front end suspension is interchangeable.

MORE UPDATE!
First we have the stubby bumper that I won at the Inland Jeep raffle, got that installed and thought it was a much better look than the full width front bumper.
I had always wanted to do a hidden/recessed winch and figures this was just the right bumper to accomplish that with. So off to my fab guy and for 2 bills I had exactly what I wanted!
All wiring was kept safe under hood with some custom length cables that I made from welders cable.
After some paint and a much neeeded upgrade to from the sad little 1.5 Ton WLL hook to a Factor 55 Expert link.

That is a clean job! Nice and tidy. So...if your full width bumper is taking up valuable space, I can store it for you, on my Jeep!
Question on your quick disco storage (stowage?), did you just bolt some angled brackets up? Any more pics, and any problems (interference or otherwise)? I've still got to do something with mine.

Thanks man, I'm trying to keep it fairly tidy. I gave he bumper to a buddy with a Durango that wanted it. The disco storage mounts are just angle brackets that got bolted through some existing holes. They work great with the current length.

The latest update to current.
Having the winch control solenoid under hood meant having to locate the wired hand remote plug somewhere, so on the passenger fender it went for ease of connection and out of harms way.
But it was always my intent to have in cab control so I found this setup from the 12volt guy and for a little more than just the cost of parts and doing it myself, I have a bishin control panel.
Last is just a color change for the hood, nothing really special there.

Even more progress with some minor details and one big change.
Finally found some good mesh that came off a space heater I could use to fill in the vents nice and clean.
Went through some different pattern on the layout for rivets and decided on the 5 point pattern.

Then I had the track bar bracket moved forward to help with clearing the front diff. Since the frame stiffeners were in I just burned it in place.
