Replaced the intermittent wiper module today, and front door ajar switches.

This Jeep is really starting to look good. I like what you did with the rims. It's always cool to see someone bring an XJ back from the dead!

Thanks. I just went and got these simple seat covers, looks a little better than the old seats with stains. I'll get the one for the rear flattened out.

Went to pull the valve cover.. None of the bolts were tight. And I decided to clean everything.

As I was putting the valve cover back on I found out why they were loose after I pierced a water jacket. Not a fun development.

But I did manage to seal it up and got everything back together. I put some washers on top of the valve cover so I wouldn't pierce any others.

All back together and it runs great.

So today I removed the little rails on the roof. Most of the rubber between them and the roof was shot. It was the source of an annoying rattle while driving.

I decided to wash it while I was at it.

I am going to do the body work prep sometime this winter and early spring. I still want to replace the drivers door as it is flared out and the rear hatch is cracked and has missing chunks of fiberglass.
I decided to go with patriot blue and to put the stock pinstripes and trim back on. But I wanted to go with the later badges for 4x4.

With a simple photoshop, here is what the combo rims / tires and paint will look like. I may even do the 97+ update.

Currently it has drop shackles in the rear to compensate for sag. Once I put a new suspension on, it will sit about 2" over stock.

Thanks. There were more problems then I took time to document. And some shouldn't own vehicles.

No prob..lol when I can, I'm going to start the body work. Probably sanding the roof down to get rid of the rust. I got a couple spray guns recently that should work nicely for the primer and paint portion.
