Upgraded my headlights a couple weekends ago and forgot to update the thread. Just cheap ebay housings, some H4 bulbs, and a wiring harness. It was all plug and play; I actually spent more time pulling out the old snow plow wiring than jakbob and I spent installing the lights.

Drove down to Southern VA last weekend to pick up axles. I'm the proud owner of a disc brake 8.8 and a HP30, both with 4.10 gears. They won't be installed any time soon, but I got both for $350, and I have first dibs on any parts that guy and his sons sell in the future.

Drove down to VA again today to finally pick up the D30 diff armor and stock tow hooks. I made the deal with this guy the first time I drove to VA, back when I was picking up RE springs last year for the Cherokee lift. I was finally gonna go down there after work on Feb 27th, but that's the day I rolled the XJ on the way home from work. Anyway, I finally picked up the stuff: D30 diff armor, stock tow hooks with brackets, another tow strap, and a box of offroading magazines, all for $38 cause that's how much I had in my pocket. And again, I have first grabs on whatever he sells in the future. I love Craigslist!

For those who care about the XJ, I finally got my salvage title in the mail today. Jeep should be delivered tomorrow to a friend's property where it'll be torn down for parts and the body will be sold for scrap. (Please don't clutter the build thread asking for parts)

Productive day.

Won't be happening for quite a while. I'm gonna do the axle swap, 6.5" LA lift with spring-over conversion, SYE, and 33s all at once. It's gonna take a while to save up and get everything, but I had to pick up those axles.

Got my new tailgate on. 96xjclassic did the work for me, as always.
Primed, painted, hand-sanded the letters, and clearcoated.

I've been in talks to get the rest of the truck painted, and I'm gonna call Line-X tomorrow to schedule the bedlining. I wanna get that drop-in outta there.

I have enough money from the XJ part-out to put the deposit on my next apartment and to paint/bedline the Jeep. After I make her pretty, progress is gonna be real slow for a while.

Well I'm "saving" for a wedding, kinda being forced to actually, so I'm piece by piece building her up. Got new shocks coming and eventually stabilizer and quick disconnects for minor wheeling. Then windshield alt, it never ends
