Default RENIX ON TONS <budget build>

[B]. Whats going So back in Oct I purchased a 89renix 4.0 w a aw4 231 transfer case. Bone stock for 600 dollars been sitting for a couple years very minimal surface rust on floor pans. A buddy of mine has a 95 on full widths stretched 4 inch in the front on 38 using ford radius arms designed by Rides of Conover in North Carolina.

Once I saw this jeep ideas started flowing. Started looking up build threads and found two that are budget builds under 6500 and great ideas.

So to start here is my list of what i done so far:
For axles going one tons just picked up 14 bolt rear
Searching out a KINGPIN D60 high pinion now
Retro fited the coolant system to the 4.0Ho style to eliminate bottle to open filler neck.
Done a tune up on the engine
Champion copper core plugs
New wires, cap, rotor, button
Sourced out a coil and igniter that was robbed off mine from pull a part.
Ended up having to get a new distributor
Ford mustang 4 hole yellow top 19 lbs injectors
95 astro steering box
Homeade fuel cell w new internal pump
garrett air research T03e turbo off saab 900t
Side mount intercooler
63" Chevy springs for rear

So my goals for this project is I wont to do it right so i give myself a yr for this build.
I'm going to stretch the rear of the jeep w Chevy 63" springs hoping to get 10" . I'm going fox coil overs in the front and stretching it 8". Using a Chevy astro box will help me with this. Box will be tapped and set up for hydro assist. Jeep will be plated from bumper to bumper
To keep cost down ill do most the work In house just bought a welder aswell. Looking for over all height to be around 6' keep it low is mind set
Will update w pics soon

I remember seeing a red xj forsale on NC4x4 a few months ago. It was on hp44/9" and 38s if i remember right. The seller said it was set up by rides of conover. Sound like your buddy's?

Looks like nice plans. There should be a guy on the charlotte craigslist with a 78-79 kp 60 if he's still got it.

so here recently i realived i needed to upgrade the coolant system from all the horror storys of that round coolant bottle exploding which in fact mine already did so i bought a 95 Radi and went to PAP and snagged the heater hoses off a 94 w the newer style valve. along with that i decided to start to do a tune up on the engine

tons and budget in the build title. If you have good skills and don't ghetto fab it, this will be an awesome build.

So as i was doing the tune up i ran into problems the distributor cap srews were seized into the distriubor so it snaped a coupe drilling mins later hole was crooked and cap was off center so i broke down and bought a 32 dollar distributor with my account which eliminates the CAM SENSOR problems they have but i did the champion copper plus new cap and rotor button, plug wires Threw in a new battery as i hooked up i noticed a opening behing the battery where a coil and igniter used to be so i had to sorce that out to. So i go to crank it up and no go!! I purge the rail after i just filled the tank w gas to realize no PSI so pull out the light and find out fualty pump

I pull the sending unit and if folds in half so for a quick fix to get it mobile i drain and drop the tank SAwSAW style and go pick up a new fuel pump and have the bright idea NOTE for TEMP usage to make a homemade cell. Till my metal one is built.
