Roger that.
It probably wouldnt be until next year, when i have more spending money.
Come income tax time im either going to get a CC handgun or a new set of tires. Im torn between Rusty's budget boost or cobbling something else together.
And yeah, mine came with 225/75/15s but had the 215s on it when i got 'er. the 225s were an option.

Well, i borrowed a grinder from a different neighbor. After grinding and cutting for two hours, breaking a cutter blade and putting the 'hand' in hand grinder, i got one of the bolts off.
Now i have the front bolt off of both sides of the fuel skid. The back two bolts are both half ground off on the bottom but they wont come off. Making matters worse, the leaves are right in the way so it is difficult to get at them. Im not sure if i should borrow the grinder again and see if i can get more off when i have daylight, or find some other way.

upon returning my neighbor's grinder to him, we talked about my failure. eventually he led me to his bard where he dug this out.
He said it was of of a ZJ, and i think it would fit on an XJ, perhaps with a bit of modification. i havent measured it up or checked the holes yet, but i suspect it would work. came with "most of" the mounting hardware.
anybody know for sure?

Attachment 252816 This should help, and sorry for upside down, and I can take pic of other side or any other parts if needed, that is mine I took off my XJ
'No, those are all projects'
Rejected by a girl hurts. Rejected from buying jeep parts is worse

Anyway, if this works, then once i find a fuel skid, or get this off the PITA rustbucket, ill be set for the rearend. after i get nut strips...
i have this sickening feeling that the rearmost exhaust hangar will give me trouble coming off.

So i changed my oil and air filters just now. Im going to look up the number on the air filter, i have a suspicion it was the original filter...
The oil filter was crazy. Last time the oil was changed, i had to have wally world do it because i was very short on time and funds. They must have had an Uruk Hai install this thing, even with a screwdriver through the shell it wanted to just shred it rather than turn the filter. heck it even bent one screwdriver...
Longest oil change ive ever done
In went 10w30 Rotella T and a PureONE filter.
At least it looks like in about 3500 miles, i didn't lose a noticeable amount of oil. Now i just need to buy my cap, rotor, plugs and wires...

Almost forgot this little thing, just came in the mail a few days ago
Just waiting for the Bonnie Blue Flag patch to come back into stock
its more subtle than the Confederate Battle Flag
The Ohio flag would do as well..

Zulu Nylon Gear, they come in Coyote, OD, black, ATACS and Multicam.
downside is that they are forty bucks a pop. but i can already say how handy it is.
Still need to get a multitool to put in there. this is about how i wanted it to turn out

Well, i'm not dead.
After a long long hiatus i finially made it back on here.
As for the jeep, not too much has changed, besides moving into some Courser AXT tires.
Shes almost at the 250k mile mark. Looking to finally do the tow hooks and put the dang hitch on, but none of the local yards have XJs with tow hooks on them.
Looks like ill have to order some online i guess.
