What is the 3rd one? We have an '88 a '96 and a '97. The '88 with no lift and 235-75-15s gets wheeled the most, lol. Only gave $800 for her and runs likes a champ!
ha that would be total bs.
i only have 2 now. my first one threw a rod bearing and wasn't worth fixing at all. way to much body rot.

i currently have two RED 98 xjs. both SE models. the one i just picked up is a complete base model. manual everything except trans (sadly) i spent a few hours today cleaning it and swapping small things over to my current xj.

info on my new one: paid $500, been sitting for about 5years atleast, in dirt under a tree. so the rockers are totally shot but other than the rockers all the rest of the body is solid. im going to get her running and go from there. also there is a possible tranny problem, guy didnt seem to know what he was talking about but said he drove it like twice after his son was shipped of in the air force.

Well I've had some free time. I pulled the axle and drive shaft out of my new xj cleaned them up, painted them. waiting to buy new brakes and brake cables for it.

Also took the time to repaint the ecco?s from my new xj and swapped them onto my current dd xj. I think they look good but I really need larger tires, then it would look proper.

My d windows are a bit rusty so after I repaint them there probably going back on.

not much going on lately. Getting paid tomorrow so I'm going to be buying brakes and ebrake cables for the axle I'm swapping from my lil red.
So today i went out and rode my quad some, i have a 2005 trx300ex with minimal mods. and spent the rest of my daylight cleaning up the rust on my d windows and making a template to run the stock jeep centers.
I still have to drill the other 3 rims and use a step bit and buy the new screws so they can be mounted flush/properly.

i repainted my d windows and also got my stock centers on this last week. also ordered a new rough country steering stabilizer. I hope it fixed the random vibes im getting.

also got my other axle finished up to swap in. im also going to put a 3in long add a leaf in when i swap the axle.

im going to order 3in lift coils when i get paid in a week. unless i could find used? I'm planning to get fat bobs coils cause there $100.

I've decided when I put the add a leaves in I'm going to put stock shackles on to level it out more. and depending on how much rake ill still have i may try the v8 grand cherokee springs up front. im going this route instead if getting lift springs cause I dont want to get out of control with this cause its my dd.

Hey. yea I had seen that in your thread. I WISH my other xj was a 5spd. i want one so bad. the two options i want to do is A) find a comanche and swap everything i can from my other 98 xj to it or B) fix the other xj and sell it and keep looking till i find a nice 2door 5spd for my trail rig.

been slacking on any updates. I have been checking the forums once in awhile and checking out pics etc.

Anyways what I've done since-
herculined below the body trim
color refinished my stock trim.
bought some used 31" baja claws with wider rims (idk what offset)
color matched my center caps.
That's all I can think if at the moment and im still working on doing other things. waiting on cash. And also im working on fixing up my other red 98 xj.

So I have a few updates. late last week I pulled out the grinder and did the cut and fold on my rear quarters because there was some bad rot I had been neglecting since I last had my bumper off. also bought a few lights for the roof rack bar. still waiting on time to wire them up been really busy.

One of my best friends purchased a 96 2door 5sp 4x4 XJ this last weekend and I helped him get it going right again. He is inlove with that thing and honestly I am too lol.
I'ts the sport model but had ugly aluminum Lerado wheels on her so today I sold him my other set of Crager D-windows and it set it off pretty well.

so after we spent an hour or so at farm and fleet getting the d-windows mounted we hit the junkyard for some stock centers (i had drilled the d-windows for them awhile back) So we were searching the yard and I found a 97+ xj an got the TCM out of it for my other 98. we finally found 2 centers on an XJ and 2 more later on but while on the hunt for them I found a 95 that before its dieing days the owner seemed to know what was up lol. I walked around it and there sat a decent aftermarket rear bumper I felt like I struck gold! during this time he was off collecting center caps so I brought him to it and showed him. Right then is when I decided I wasn't leaving without it. I had not planned to find anything I would want so I had no wrenches so I started tugging on it and I basically tore it right of the XJ with my hands. I am well satisfied with my JY find today. i just have to buy new hardware and refinish some spots and ill have it bolted up.
I'ts a bad pic of the bumper but I didn't think to take one till after I had gotten home today and unloaded my jeep. I'll post another when I have it on. I am curious though as to where it was made. It is slightly adjustable and the brackets bolt to the actually bumper, not welded to it.

well today I finally had time to myself- meaning for the xj lol.
Finally got my lights wired up and I also put my JY find bumper on with some massaging lol. I will post a pic of the bumper tomorrow. From the looks of it I think it had a spare tire carrier on it before I came across it and some one took it and not the whole bumper.. i really want to find out where it was made out of curiosity.
