recapped/retreaded tires

recapped/retreaded tires
so i have heard of recappped and retreaded tires for semi's and trailers. my question is there anyway of doing recaps or retreads on 31-35in tires either do it yourself or factories. Are there any do it yourself type ways of cutting tread pieces off of one tire and reapliying them to another tire. ive only seen recaps on one or 2 crawlers toys before so i was curious.
