Default rear seat delete

has anyone removed the rear seat? I thinking of taking mine out and replacing it with a platform to allow room for a pressurized water tank for my overloading rig. Thoughts or pictures from anyone would be appreciated.

I don't use it and can put the space to better use for overloading.

First this thread shouldn't be in here as this area is for actual build threads of vehicles, but yeah I did it for the very same reasons.

I gutted the back side of the backrest area, then cut a piece of plywood to fit it, and covered it in trunk carpet on the ply side.
The top part got regular auto carpet.
I also made a bulkhead to extend out a storage area under there, plus once you delete your seat cushion you need something to elevate the backrest part.

Now I store some spare parts, air compressor, tire iron, zip ties, toilet paper, survival shovel, and a few other things I deem necessary for "just in cases" while out on the road

Adapted an ATV basket. Shovel, axe, and compressor underneath.

I see fabrication in this thread and potential for more fabrication.

i to have thought about getting rid of my rear seat but ounce awhile i do have passengers there.

Lots of potential for storage with seat removed
