Project: Zombie Response Jeep
Sorry for back to back multiple posts. I've been at work reading this from start to finish. I really like the zav club. But I have a WJ so not a fan of making it exclusive to xjs!

I don't want anyone to get jealous or anything, but I found a new XJ this morning. It's kind of my unicorn. I don't believe I have ever seen one in person. This beauty is a 1996, 2-door, 4.0, 4x4, 5-speed. The body is straight, the motor is clean, the floors arent bad. I won't tell you what I paid for it unless someone can guess within $50. I'm sure there will be a build thread in the future.

Be prepared for the randomness of the 96 XJs. Parts are mix matched of pre and post 97. Good luck with it.

It does seem like there are a lot of 96's. Not sure why.

^ I imagine they made a lot of 96 XJs to fill the gap for the missing 96 Wrangler. Remember how they did not make a 96 YJ or TJ? They made extra 95 YJs and 97 TJs to fill the gap. Actually I just found out that in 96 they made 286,463 XJs which is the most XJs produced in a single year. http://jeephorizons.com/tech/xjstockspecs.html
