Nice set up for sure dude!! I like those sliders and was interested in buying them till I seen the price!!!! I bought all the materials to build these for 75 bucks. Going to fab some up that are like identical to those. Great build and def needsome 33x12.50s to fill up that wheel well!! Looks good bro.

Yeah its my Daily driver as of now, I don't have the money right now for 2 vehicles but im thinking of buying some POS for a couple hundred bucks this fall so I don't have worry about what happens to the Jeep quite as much.Originally Posted by offroadnut36

I would have made my own but I sold my welder a few weeks ago, it was a Harbor Freight 105 amp MIG and it totally sucked. It had no power and it didnt feel right to weld with, hard to explain. I think im gonna save up my money for a decent 220 MIG setup. And yeah im definitely getting 33's, thinking about the KM2's or Cooper STT's right now, still cant decide.Originally Posted by jarretthise

looks good, but when i saw "Project Utility Vehicle" i was thinking along the lines of a gutted 2 door with cut fenders, linked in the rear and bobbed, caged, snorkeled, low gears, and 33's....kinda like a slightly overgrown Rhino....
o wait, thats MY plan, sorry

I got the utility vehicle idea from the fact that im going to be running twin batteries (a deep cycle and a regular), a high output alternator and im going to wire up a 3000 watt power inverter so I can use it as a generator if the power goes out. Im stripping out the carpets and bedlining the floors so I can hose the inside out if it gets muddy inside once I get around to it this spring, and maybe as a long-term project I want to have an interior cage but that's a long way off if I ever do it.
Well... yesterday I got home from work to find this at my door.
Yup that's right, I finally got my JCR Tire Carrier.

Unwrapped it to find these.

So I immediately drove back out to the hardware store and bought 4 cans of automotive primer and all of the cans of satin black they had.
And now they look like this and are drying as we speak.

Im having my buddy over on Saturday so we can put this baby on. I'll have pictures of what it looks like with it on soon.

Looks like things are coming along fast.
I'd add a third arm to the sliders, I've seen them bend in the middle and do damage to the bottom panel.

Nope, its for the rear, it would be interesting to have a front tire carrier though I guess.Originally Posted by DEVILSTOY

I'll look into it once I get another welder, I have a spare rocker panel in the garage though if something happens, I bought one because mine is dented but im not going to bother putting it in unless I screw mine up way worse. Plus I've heard changing out body panels is a real pain.Originally Posted by PolarXJ
