They are some stout axles. Larger ring gears than the older 44s, and of course stronger being HPs.

I hope to pretty much copy this build...I don't care if that's unoriginal, this thing is SICK. I love the latest set-up: stance, wheels, tires, etc.

What's a good vehicle to try to pick the axles off of? Or if purchasing them, what's a fair price range? That's one of the initial changes I'd like to make to my XJ before moving forward.

so start picture to current you have 2 or so yrs build / project time into this? I hope to emulate a point or two on my 98... pondering LS swap

Yes, right around 2 1/2 years to date with it. Finished the axle swap right before the new year of this year.
