Well... we did drive it down the highway about 70.
Technically I would have to finish putting front turn signals and what not on it to make it legal. Utah is pretty strict, it technically should not be on the roads. But I could get it to pass inspection if I decide to. No, my AC quit working in the spring.

Well, I threw her on a scale today. Previous weight with some tools, recovery gear, no spare was 4,240 pounds.
I cut the roof & B pillars off. No hatch, no doors. Some of the mods were 2 x 6 in the rockers, the boat sides, about 150 feet of 1.75 OD .120 tubing, the tailgate piece is 12 gauge. The rear tube bumper was pretty light, the front bumper was actually pretty heavy and those are both gone now.
Any guesses on a new weight? I'm curious to get a couple opinions, then i'll tell you what the beast weighs now.

You're on the right right track. It surprisingly weighs less. But not that much.
Weighed in at 4080 lbs.
My 2" x 1/2" wall control arms add a lot of unnecessary weight. But that's weight down low so I can live with them.
I think the doors weigh more than most people think.

Well, we cut the roof and B pillars off as one piece, and left the hatch attached. My buddy and I couldn't lift it. We had to literally slide/push it off the top of the Jeep. Tube is not as heavy as you think. I used 150 feet, at about 2 pounds per foot. Thats only 300 pounds. The 2x6 in the rockers might weight a hundred pounds? Thats only 400 pounds. you figure the roof, 4 doors, the hatch, the bumpers, I lost a lot of weight too.
