Read back a few pages ... I'm not really wanting to type it all over again.
*edit* I'll cut you a break ... go read posts 298, 302, 304, 307 & 309. Your not wanting to read/search will not endear you to some of the people on this forum.

I haven't read you entire build but your work is amazing I love the fact that you go into such depth and detail in the way you build your Jeep, I like to think I do the same with mine. My question is this what exactly happened with the POR-15 when you applied it, did you simply decide not to use it anymore or did it start to peel? I ask only because I have a small 8 inch by 6 inch patch of rusty/pitted metal in the trunk of my jeep, and was actually planning on using a grinder with a wire wheel attachment to clean the metal then sandblast the metal then apply POR-15 followed by their fiberglass sheeting POWERMESH. I know that cutting and removing the metal is the best way to go, and in about 300 miles I will find out how much it may cost me and I will go from there. Thanks for your reply to my question.
also be careful... wear goggles... grinder with wire wheel slings the metal out... the grinder spins at a higher RPM then the wheel says to... well at least the wire wheels i use... i cant find any with any higher RPM... and i end up with wires sticking all out of my cloths and skin when im done... but boy does the rust go away faster then anything else ive used...
Thanks, but I can't stress how important it is to work while wearing the correct gear, and thanks for the pointer about the wire wheel, I will probably buy goggles and everything else to protect me, I don't want to get hurt trying to fix the jeep, no fun building/repairing if your in the hospital getting pieces of metal pulled out of you.

No offense, but i'm sorry that your build is 24 pages long, i'm not going to go searching through all of that, and for your information I have dug up alot of stuff by searching through old posts on this forum, and if I want to bypass all the searching I ASK a QUESTION like everybody else...

Well .... it's my thread .... I can be as disagreeable as I want.
You're in no position to tell me how to act on the forum.
When you have half my experience --- come back and chat with me. I'm probably not the most popular person here, but few are going to dispute that I'm helpful when it counts most. And those on this forum that have purchased from me can attest that I take care of my customers. Now ... go run along and try not to trip on the pebbles.

That's really just great, honestly I don't care. I know as much as I need to know about Jeep's but I'm no mechanic, and I don't want to be one. I work on my Jeep only to do stuff absolutely necessary for it to run for many years to come (oil change, filter change, break job, misc.) and I do my own work to a high standard I don't do halfass jobs' (as I can see that you don't either) Besides all this disagreement between us I like your build thread and the direction it' going in, your Jeep is sure to be a one of a kind.
I don't know if I told you, but congrats on the baby!
that and the jeep is coming along fantastically, I can't wait to see the finished product! Keep up the good work and better advice Joe, we need more people like you on this forum.
I'm going to say the same thing a mod would say, Keep it on topic.
Bantering back and forth is unnecessary, it is his thread and he was just giving you good advice. He's right, if you ask questions about info that can easily be found in a search most of us on the forum will ignore your thread/question or we'll tell you to go search. I'm not trying to be a jerk but don't clog up his thread with stupid arguments.

Baby ?
Who's been having hanky with my wife ?
We have no children. Think you might have me confused with The Freeak? Chris & his wife just had a beautiful baby girl. Although I must comment that she looks like his mail man.
