Project SoundWave-the 5.9L Prerunner build
So I purchased this 98 5.9L ZJ awhile back from a buddy who is in my offroad club. He was planning on making it his trail rig but it just sat in his garage, so he sold it to me. My plans were simple at the time, put a few motor add ons and just drive it. After looking around the web, decided I'd make it into a prerunner, so the build begins. I also have a 99 XJ (project Ratchet) that I'm also working on.
Plans for the build
*Iron Rock Offroad Long Arm
*4.5 inch Iron Rock Offroad front and rear springs w/2 inch coil spacers
*33x12.50x15 General Grabbers w/red lettering on simulated beadlock
*Iron Rock Offroad axle truss for Dana 30
*Spartan locker for the Dana 30
*Iron Rock Offroad rear upper and lower adjustable control arms
*Roll cage
A few pictures of when I first bought it
Added a firestik cb antenna
Then added a prerunnner style front bumper
Then added some ProComp fog lights to the front bumper to make the front end look complete

Since I am parting out my 98 ZJ (my trail rig) I decided to put the 31s on SoundWave and see what it looks like. Totally need to do the lift now but I think it looks decent for the time being

Open up the hood? I wanna see what this thing is working with! I like the exterior, black is the first option as far as color goes in my opinion.

Trans line decided to leak all over the place today. It was the hose clamp that went from the rubber hose into the trans hardline. Replaced the hose clamp and going to fill up the fluid tomorrow. Guess it wanted a trans service. Wish I got that memo. Planning on putting on the rear tube bumper tomorrow as well.

Fixed the trans leaks. 14 quarts of brand new ATF +4. Shifts great now. Guess SoundWave wanted a trans flush, lol.

Got a great deal on it from a buddy who was in the club. Its been a really good vehicle so far. Excited to build it up, after I finish the XJ.

Planning on installing the rear bumper this weekend. Its a prerunner style rear bumper. Its actually coming off my old trail ZJ. Here is a picture of the bumper.
Thats not my trail ZJ though Lol.
