Default Clean and Capable 2001 DD/Hunting and Fishing Rig

Hey guys this is my first build. It's a very clean 2001 and I purchased it from an old man back in 2011 with 80,000 miles. It currently has 94,000 so I'm trying to get it close to finished before she rolls 100,000 miles. This is my DD and hunting rig that will not be doing any rock crawling. All the off-road driving I do a stock XJ can do just fine but I'm wanting a more aggressive look and plus my stock suspension is shot and in need of replacement. I'll try to post as many pictures as possible.

MY PLANS FOR NOW:

Replace Radiator(small leak) COMPLETE
Hood Vents COMPLETE
Floor Liners COMPLETE
Rebuild Front Drive Shaft COMPLETE
Replace front axle u-joints and hubs COMPLETE
RE 3.5 inch Super Ride Lift with Mono-tubes COMPLETE
SYE and Drive Shaft COMPLETE
31x10.50r15 Duratracs COMPLETE
15x8 Black Mamba MR1X Alloy Wheels (Smaller Rubicon Replicas) COMPLETE
Add more lighting
Front and Rear Bumpers (undecided on brand or style)
Add Storage for hunting and fishing supplies
Detroit Truetracs front and rear

This is when I first got her and had a buddy detail her and give it a nice shine after I removed the door molding.

Here is my hunting buddy (Turbo) during squirrel season. He's a machine and treed his first squirrel at 4 months old. He's almost a year old and we're both looking forward to next season. I plan to make arrange the rear cargo area with a kennel and some storage for hunting supplies.

One day I started to smell coolant and about crapped myself thinking it was the dreaded cracked 0331 head. After a closer look I located a small crack in the top left corner of the radiator. I installed a CSF Radiator and replaced all the hoses. Sorry no pics. I was also getting some heat soaking and throwing a CEL code for a mis-fire so after the install of the radiator I decided to help get rid of some under the hood heat and installed some Run Cool Hood Vents. They were pricey but I want a clean look and they did it for me. No install pics but it was easy and had no problems.

Nothing special but I received my build sheet. I was hoping to have a LSD but I don't. Might end up putting in a front and rear Detroit TrueTruc at some point. I originally wanted lockers but decided I didn't really need them.

Silver 2001's are awesome, not like I'm biased or anything lol
Keep the silverstone metallic looking good, it's hard to find touch up paint unless you go to the dealer. Sounds like some solid plans my friend, subbed!!!

I then added some LED lights to my interior. These things are awesome. I got them from (Snajo) who was very good on price IMO and quick delivery. Here's his link: https://www.cherokeeforum.com/f73/in...d-sets-188996/ This picture was during the daytime in a garage and they're still bright. I have a wire hanging under the drivers side so it's blocking half of the bulb and I'm too lazy to fix it. As you can see I also added Quadratec floor mats. I got front, rear, and cargo area.

I've been having some low level rotational sound coming from somewhere in the front but I can't pin point it. I've had it on a lift in 4wd and it doesn't do it. I wouldn't think it's tires since I can hear it going 10mph but I guess it's possible. I figured before I lift it I want to make sure everything is in great condition so I ordered a pair of Spicer U-joints for the front axles and a pair of Timken wheel hubs. Hopefully it cures it and if not then I guess it could be the tires.

Received some goodies in the mail so now I have to find some time to install them. Hopefully this will clear up whatever sound I'm hearing.

Look at what was waiting for me on the front porch when I got home from work Friday. I can't wait to get my lift put on so I can see how these will look.

Well, I've got just about everything ordered for the lift. I also have the 31x10.50 Duratracs ordered but I might not get them for a couple of weeks because it appears they're on a huge back order . Anyways, as originally planned I ordered the 3.5 RE Super Ride with Monotube shocks. I also ordered a JKS Adjustable track bar, SYE, RE drive shaft, steering stabilizer, and SS brake lines. I'll probably wait until I get the tires before I install the lift so hopefully they'll come quickly.

Thanks man. I'm looking forward to seeing how she turns out. Hopefully everything goes smoothly but I doubt it.
