Err. so I was pissed off and out of options so I grabbed the AC recharge machine from our shop and had someone show me how to do it. so I evac the system again and recharged it myself and no change, oh and no cold air the whole time and it was cycling alot more than normal. well this great machine also monitors pressure so we found out that something was plugging it. well my first option was to evac it again, which I did and put in the only hose with the old orfis thing. well I compaired the two when I had it apart again and I could blow through the old one alittle which is normal but the damn new one was completely plugged. err. so I put the old one back on, recharged the system and fired it back up again and wow it seems to be running right (fingers crossed) the air is cold and it isn't cycling all the time anymore of blowing it out of the pressure valve. well all I can say is I wasted alot of time and money by having someone else do something that I should have done myself. and all I can say if this damn thing better stop breaking stupid things (which don't lead to a better upgrade) I going to sell the damn thing.

Well, at least you got it fixed. Mine has a hole in the rubber hose itself. I am waiting for the part from TX. Thankfully it does not get REALLY hot in N.E. Wyoming

On another note I tried to get it state inspected today and well it failed cause I need mud flaps, so I'm fabbing up some removable ones so keep posted. i'll take pics on how to do it.
Also I need some serious knowledgeable advise. I'm looking to regear but I need to know how well my current axles will hold up. I've got the C8.25 and a LP D30. The max tire size i'll be running is 35's. will the c8.25 hold up good I should I try to upgrade to a 44 or a 8.8 first. and also I need to honestly know why a LP D30 isn't as good as a HP D30. I need real advise and not just speculation. I would prefer to not get new axles but I need to know before I regear.

I just spent over an hour looking through all the pics and I am very jealous. What type of cargo basket do you have? I have an 01 60th anniversary edition and I'm hoping I can someday get it to look as good as yours.

Well here are a few pics of what all I had to replace on the AC compressor.

This is what got screwed up when the fan hit one of the hoses. good thing they were able to just weld a bead over it cause it didn't go all the way through.

Well as I said I needed to make mud flaps to get my jeep to pass inspection so here they are. First I bought a three foot steel tube 1/2 inch dia(max possible to fit in shackle box, cut it in half and painted it black. (FYI this can be done easily if you have shackle relocation brackets) (and so you know the flaps do say dodge but they were basically free and will only be on during inspection and when I have to have them so I don't much care)

Then I measured for positioning and drilled three holes to mount the tube and the flap

Then I mounted the flap to the tube using bolts with lock nuts and washers to prevent it from tearing off.

after that i did a test fit so see where they needed to fit. after putting them in the shackle relocation bracket (I used the farthest front hole) I marked the location to drill the holes for the trailer clip pens to hold them in place.

after putting them on I marked how I wanted them to look and trimmed them with a razor knife.

I sprayed them again to make the hardware black and cover up where i scraped the paint off.
Here is a view of them on. you can see the on trailer pin and there is another on on the other side of the bracket to keep it in place. all you have to do is remove the inner pin and bam, they are off.

Here are some views with and without so you can see coverage.

Sorry the sideways pics.

Let me know what ya think.(besides it saying dodge, I might try to cut the letters off) And yes I took them off after these pics.

Jeep is practically a branch of dodge now days anyway. (with the SRT8 and all) so why not keep it? lol. Also, I love the angry eye lids. I'm doing it to mine. Sorry if you don't like me copying your idea. I love the way it looks though! Sweet rig.

So I just bought a D44 out of a 87 Cherokee. I paid 200 for it. What I need to know is did I do good? I have yet to tear it apart so i'm not sure what the inside looks like but i'll be re-gearing it to 4.56. and I may be taking the hp d30 out of it.
